Procedure of import hair care Products in India
1. Licence
Import hair care products like shampoo, conditioner, color protection in India is permitted under licence Which have to obtain from DGFT ( Directorate of general foreign trade ) in India .
2 Packing
Packing should be in bottled or sashes with the quantity packed . Should be manufacturer name address, e-mail,ingredients,telephone number and also sticker name of importer with marking and labels of address, e-mail with telephone number .
3. NOC
We have to take no objection certificate from the Drug controller who is generally seating in custom area . It is mandatory procedure without this can’t take release the shipment from custom yard/ department.
4. Unit Value
Value of the item should be as per the custom department. If invoice seems under value than custom officer can appraised the value of goods or change unit price as per import data available. Appraiser can take help to check the data similar product online or check in retail market .
5. MSP stickers
When the goods reached at final destination in India .
It should be also mandatory labels of maximum sale price) on the packing of the import item from the dispatch origin .Otherwise custom officer can disallow to release cargo . It will be better or safe release from custom to sticks MSP labels from origin.
6. Custom Bonded Warehouse
If not adopted above procedure at origin then at destination custom broker first take the permission from commissioner of custom at final port with the urge to allow us to warehouse the container/shipment in custom bonded warehouse area & unbox the container/shipment in the presence of custom officer .It will take huge time to unbox and sticking the labels on each packing of item . It would be better to follow the procedure at dispatch end for smooth delivery of the shipment. We can avoid demur rage and detention charges also.
